Tune In

Unlocking the power of self-talk

A 2-day in-house leadership workshop for organisations

Tune In & Self-leadership

Self-leadership is an important aspect of any leadership development pathway you offer your people. It’s the practice of understanding who we are, identifying our desired experiences, and intentionally guiding ourselves toward them. It spans the determination of what we do, why we do it, and how we do it.

Self-leadership is foundational to all other forms of leadership and their development. And core to self-leadership is the relationship we have moment-to-moment with our own experience: our thoughts, feelings, and behaviour; the ideas we have about ourselves, others and the world, and stories we create to explain, reinforce or change them.

For women this is especially relevant as study after study shows women regularly experience self-doubt and an internal struggle with identity creating role-conflicts and stereotype threats that hold them back from stepping into opportunities or making the most of the ones they have in hand. Especially the most capable, high potential, and high performing of your women.

Add to this women’s gendered life experiences (including pregnancy, infertility, returning from parental leave, and peri/menopause) and the intersectionality of gendered ageism (as we reach our 40’s, 50’s and beyond) and you have a complex mix of catalysts for negative self-talk to impact their quality of life, career success, and wellbeing.

Tune In & Your People

Adding in-house Tune In workshops to your talent and leadership development mix creates value by addressing leadership wellbeing, DEIB objectives, personal development, and leadership development in one cleverly designed experience.

Growing the self-leadership capacity of your women through Tune In demonstrates you see them as whole people, that you recognise the complexity of their experience, you understand how negative self-talk may impact their confidence, and that you support their potential for growth and development, no matter where they are in their careers.

Who is Tune In for?

Tune In is for women of all ages and stages of leadership, from emerging leadership talent to the most senior and experienced of your leaders. Growing this capability and capacity is a lifelong mission and it’s never too early or too late to start!

Regardless of the amount of life and leadership experience your people have, they will benefit from learning how to:

  • Quieten self-doubt and negative self-talk
  • Change the conversation with their Inner Critic
  • Dial up their self-confidence and sense of personal power
  • Access their Inner Coach and deal with ‘Imposter Syndrome’; and
  • Better support their mental and emotional wellbeing.

The Tune In Workshop

Tune In is made up of a two-day in-person workshop PLUS a follow up on-line 90 minute group coaching session.

WHAT WE COVER

  • Explore the ‘thought machine’ that is the mind and the neuroscience that drives it
  • Shine a light on patterns of negative self-talk and see that we’re not alone in this thinking
  • Understand the impact all this has on us and the people who matter most, at work and at home
  • Learn to play ‘The Comparison Game’ in a conscious and deliberate way for growth
  • Access tried and tested mental models, tools, and practices to help us change the conversation we have with ourselves; and
  • Commit to ‘choose to use the tools’ and ‘do the work’ based on a deeply personal vision of what will be possible when we each unlock the power of our self-talk.

WORKSHOP OUTCOMES

  • A new awareness and wider perspective on our internal dialogue;
  • Personal insights and self-coaching practices to implement immediately to improve our ability to tune in to and take charge of self-talk;
  • A new understanding of, appreciation for and relationship with our Inner Critic
  • Identified opportunities to develop new habits and practices to grow our ability to use ‘chatter’ as a self-coaching tool; and
  • A Support Buddy to partner with as we both do the work to integrate our learnings and apply our inspired actions.

Tune In has been described by many attendees as “life changing”

“Tune In has been described by many attendees as “life changing”. Those who attend are so grateful that they were selected and can’t believe that a company would make this investment in them as whole humans. Word of mouth has ensured a waiting list makes this one of our most sought-after programmes.”

Jackie Rich
General Manager People & Capability

Tune In needs to be on their development plan

“Kate is one of those rare people who can create and keep the space for others, enabling people to speak with their authentic voice, learn, stretch outside comfort zones and be vulnerable. For anyone needing to become more aware of the impact of their thoughts on their behaviour, Tune In needs to be on their development plan.”
