As an Executive Team, working together effectively often means confronting adaptive challenges that require more than just leadership expertise. These challenges aren’t solved by policies or quick decisions, they demand a collective shift in how you collaborate, communicate, and build trust as a team.
Whether it’s navigating diverse perspectives, addressing power dynamics, or creating a culture of psychological safety so you can have the conversations that matter, adaptive challenges test the very core of your team’s cohesion.
You need to foster open dialogue, embrace vulnerability, and empower each other to lead from your unique strengths. As an Executive Team, success isn’t about individual leadership; it’s about working together with resilience and adaptability through uncertainty and complexity.
When it comes to the human experience of being an executive leader, you’re not just navigating business decisions, you’re also each experiencing personal and professional transitions that impact how you work together.
Whether someone is stepping into an executive role for the first time, transitioning responsibilities into a new function or strategic project, or grappling with shifts in work-life balance, health challenges, or changing demands at home, these moments affect team dynamics.
These life and leadership transitions require empathy and flexibility, allowing each person the space to evolve while keeping the collective mission in focus. How you support each other through these transitions, whether it’s leading organisational change, managing personal challenges, or adapting to new ways of working, will determine not just the effectiveness of the team but the strength of your shared leadership.

Organisations may be represented as two-dimensional structures of lines and boxes in a traditional org chart but their reality as relational human systems is much more complex and dynamic.
In our experience, the usual way of developing Executive Teams through 1-on-1 coaching, solo participation in external programmes, and one-off ‘Away Day’ sessions isn’t the best way to create the relational cohesion, group process capability, and collective leadership capacity required for the challenging work the group must do together.
No matter how good they may be, what these ‘system-of-one’ interventions and lone facilitated sessions leave out is the power of a collective development experience that is grounded in your context and your culture delivered through time to create meaningful change as a relational system. You become better together.
“Our Leadership Team is now having more open, higher quality, more direct conversations about the issues that matter. This results from deepening awareness of ourselves and how we connect and collide with each other. Our work with Kate has been at times uncomfortable, but always safe. As a team we’ve loved the journey, which we now realise has been carefully planned and a sophisticated yet simple unpacking of ideas and tools to enable us to be better leaders and a better leadership team. And much fun has been had!”

Chief Executive
“I’ve worked with Kate in two organisations now, and each time she has had a significant impact. She brings so much knowledge of how humans think and behave from across multiple disciplines and distils it into what the group needs most at that stage in our journey. With Kate it’s more than imparting knowledge, it’s about listening, challenging, joining dots and guiding us to the aha moments we need to have, then holding us accountable for what we say we’ll do.”
Sarah Able
Chief People Officer
“The leadership work we have done with Kate has been inspiring. The mindset and perspective we have achieved with Kate’s guidance has set us up for a quantum leap forward in our ability to both unlock the potential of our teams, but also to enjoy the ride. Where we have seen obstacles, Kate has always been able to see a path through them. It has been as much a journey for “self” (more being and less doing) as for our organisation.”

Our Executive Team development experiences create the space to go deeper. Deeper into each person’s individual experience, deeper into our ways of being and doing as a group, deeper into our understanding of what it is to be human and how that shapes our behaviour, deeper into our context and the adaptive challenges emerging in it. We go deeper so you can be and do better through it all.
We combine vertical development (exploring our ways of thinking, feeling and making sense of the world and the people around us) and horizontal development (acquisition of new knowledge and skills) with understanding the way we’re wired as humans (individually and collectively) and how that supports and sidelines our intentions and efforts to both learn and lead.
Amongst other things, the human-centred development experiences that we design and facilitate:
Doing this kind of work isn’t a one-and-done situation. It takes awareness, willingness, and courage, both to invest in the time we have together outside the day-to-day of life and business AND to work together ‘back at the ranch’ to apply what you’ve learned, experiment to adapt and refine, hold each other accountable, encourage and support, and continue to make space for yourselves and each other.

“Kate worked with our executive to help us be better leaders and bring us together. Kate distils human-centred leadership into a form that is practical and relatable, making her programmes and support different from others. Her approach ensured we made time, worked on ourselves, and changed how we lead. Kate provided healthy challenge to be more considered and intentional in a fast-changing environment. I have no doubt we are now more equipped for the future with a better appreciation of the people factor in everything we do.”
Mark Wilkshire
Chief Executive
“Kate has worked alongside our team for two years, with amazing results. Our team is now cohesive. Conversations that once were tricky and avoided are now approached with confidence and skill. Working with Kate has been exceptionally rewarding and what I’ve learned will stay with me for ever.”
Maria Robertson
Deputy Chief Executive
“Kate goes above and beyond for her clients and tailors appropriate solutions. We are a global team and communication styles and cultural backgrounds vary but Kate was able to seamlessly relate to everyone on our Senior Leadership Team. Her collaborative style, attention to every detail, all mixed with humility and humour sets her apart from other leadership facilitators and programs I’ve seen. If you’re looking to take your team to the next level, Kate is worth the investment.”

Chief Executive
