Turning Point LEADERSHIP

A 6-month Programme for Executive & Senior Women Leaders

Is Turning Point For You?

Our Turning Point Leadership Programme is a fully human development experience designed for Executive and Senior Women leaders.

If you’re in a corporate, non-profit or government environment, you’re likely in a Board, Executive, Tier 3, ‘Head of’, or Senior Specialist working at enterprise level. If you’re in a professional services or consulting firm, you may be a Founder, Partner, Director, Senior Associate, or similar level leader.

But roles and titles only tell part of the story. What really matters is that you’re feeling the inner AND outer shifts that come with life and leadership for women 40+.

At the same time that you’re outwardly kicking goals and taking names, you may be:

  • Feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and wondering if you’re on the path to burnout
  • Struggling to juggle the many and varied demands of your roles across life, work and leadership
  • Measuring yourself against impossible and often conflicting expectations as a woman, daughter, partner, mother, friend, and leader
  • Prioritising the needs and wellbeing of others before your own
  • Surprised by the arrival of peri/menopause, its symptoms and impact
  • Navigating the tricky dynamics of The Boys Club, Queen Bees, and Mean Girls; and
  • Backsliding in confidence, despite your experience and credentials, with growing negative self-talk about your visibility, value and relevance.

If you are experiencing any of these thoughts and feelings…

You are not alone.

This is the experience of many women leaders as we navigate the middle of life, struggling to make sense of our changing body and identity, evolving family needs, ever changing day-to-day leadership demands, and fast changing world.

There’s never before been a development programme designed specifically to address these aspects of the lived experience of women in leadership.

Now there is. TURNING POINT.

helped me reconnect with what matters most

“The Turning Point Leadership Programme gave me the space to step back and reflect, not just on the kind of leader I am today, but the kind of leader (and person) I want to be moving forward. It helped me reconnect with what matters most, and showed me how restoration and regeneration can fuel stronger, more authentic leadership. I highly recommend it.”

I found powerful support, connection, and practical tools

“Turning Point is hands down the most impactful programme I’ve ever done. It takes a truly holistic approach to leadership, not just focusing on the workplace, but embracing every part of life, wellbeing, and identity. Alongside an incredible group of women, I found powerful support, connection, and practical tools to reshape how I lead and live for the better. If you’re ready to make meaningful change in your leadership and your life, Turning Point is the place to be.”

What participants say about the programme

It’s a Game Changer

“If you are a woman in a senior leadership role, feeling the pull of “what’s next?” or wanting to get your mojo back, I highly recommend Turning Point. My time with Kate and the other amazing women on the programme has been incredibly enriching and made a significant impact on my life. It’s been a game changer.”

Powerhouse with a Purpose

“Turning Point is a wonderful opportunity to step aside from the day-to-day and share wisdom and experience with other senior women. It’s down to earth, highly informative and inclusive. Kate is a powerhouse with a purpose! She has deep capability and experience, combined with a real ambition for increasing leadership capability in women across New Zealand and Australia.”

I’d Struck Gold

Over the six months of Turning Point, Kate carefully held the space for a group of powerful executive women from a variety of backgrounds. From our first 1:1 I knew I’d struck gold. Kate doesn’t just listen, she feels and deeply understands. Her grounded and thoughtful style invites one to be raw and vulnerable. When that happens, it’s uncomfortable AND where magic starts to flow.”

Why Should Organisations Invest?

As a senior or Executive women leader (aged 40+) you’re a member of the fastest growing workforce demographic on the planet, on target to surpass one billion worldwide by the end of 2025. In New Zealand alone there are over 500,000 employed women in this life stage, with more than 85,000 in leadership roles.

As a group, we are filling more specialist, executive, and leadership roles than ever before. However, we’re also leaving these positions in record numbers, citing flexibility, wellbeing, work-life balance, and alternative career paths as key reasons. According to The 30% Club, a global campaign led by Chairs and CEOs to increase gender diversity at board and executive levels, for every woman getting promoted into a senior role two are leaving.

McKinsey & Co. is calling this phenomenon ‘The Great Breakup’. In their 2022 Women in the Workplace survey, McKinsey reported 43% of women leaders are burned out and 52% of senior women are still responsible for the majority of labour in the home, compared to 13% of senior men.

These stats, and plenty more, indicate on-going and emerging challenges for women as they become more present in senior and Executive roles than previous generations. For any organisation committed to gender equity, diversity and inclusion it’s now time to offer development support to senior women leaders that’s designed specifically to help them navigate the Turning Point, using this transitional time as a place of powerful transformation and renewal for the next 20+ years of their leadership journey.
