In this first ever episode of Pause for Thought on World Menopause Day 2021, your host Kate Billing sits down with Jeanette Kehoie-Perkson: the Global CHRO for leading employer brand agency Ph.Creative, an Advisory Board member for two universities, and the Founder of Power Pause, a social enterprise DEI consulting company with a focus on menopause in the workplace.
Originally from Liverpool, Jeanette has successfully delivered economic success, business expansion, organizational improvement, and talent retention for organisations across multiple sectors and regions, undertaking global executive roles in the USA, the UK, the Netherlands, Gibraltar, Russia and now New Zealand.
JKP is a sports fanatic and high-energy (now liberated) mother of two grown ups who is driven by the mantra: “I don’t care how much you know, until I know how much you care”. She chooses to work only with human beings who recognize that every person has potential – which great leaders can help them to realize.
In this conversation, Jeanette and Kate (Executive Development Director at Blacksmith, Founder of katebilling.com and Community Founder of Menopause@Work NZ) talk about:
- Jeanette’s personal menopause journey
- The ‘unraveling’ created by running out of HRT following her move to NZ
- The impact of her symptoms on her performance as a busy Executive
- Her penny drop moment about the connection between peri/menopause and senior women leaving the workforce
- The importance of a supportive community at work and at home; and
- Tackling stigma and changeing the narrative so that we keep valuable senior women in the workplace.
PLUS we answer a range of questions from our audience.
